About Me
I have always been curious to understand how the human brain works. So, I completed my bachelor’s studies at the University of Padova (Italy), and I specialized in the field of cognitive psychology and psychobiology. For my bachelor’s thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Priftis, I conducted research in the context of cognitive psychology, investigating the spatial representation of musical tones in expert musicians, and how tones are represented in the brain. Furthermore, I continued my master’s studies in the field of cognitive neuroscience and clinical neuropsychology, and I spent 8 months at the University of Tübingen in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Birbaumer, where I conducted my master thesis in the field of BCI-based fNIRS to investigate how neural activities can be measured, classified, and translated for communication purposes in the context of “locked-in” patients. After my graduation, I continued my stay in Tübingen where I had the opportunity of joining different Labs and working on different neuroimaging techniques, at the MEG center and Max Planck Institute.

Afterward, for my Ph.D., I move to Magdeburg where I conducted research at the Otto-von-Guericke University under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Düzel and Prof. Dr. Speck, investigating working memory and related neural oscillations based on EEG-neurofeedback (EEG-NF).

Besides my Ph.D. project, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Prof. Michael Friebe, head of the INKA-Application Driven Research Lab (University of Magdeburg) and with Prof. Sultan Haider, head of Innovation Think Thank by Siemens Healthineers, where I improved my knowledge in the context of exponential, digital technologies and healthcare innovation. These collaborations have been very prolific yielding 4 publications.

Moreover, in the context of exponential organizations, I am part of a worldwide community called OpenExO, aimed at transforming industries with innovative approaches and models. Indeed, my certification as a Consultant and Trainer at OpenExO empowers me with knowledge regarding the application of innovative business models and applications in the context of exponential organizations and novel technological trends. Thus, it became my aim to combine my learnings about medicine and neuroscience into writing while sharing the latest discoveries and technological advances worldwide. Following my passion for writing, I rapidly became an active contributor in communicating medical research development and scientific innovations, and the author of several articles at ExO Insight which are aimed to enhance awareness worldwide in the context of healthcare innovation, regenerative medicine, psychology, neuroscience, technology, and leadership.
